REVIEW: SAMSUNG GALAXY CAMERA

As you may have noticed (see here) I brought besides my beloved Nikon DSLR camera also the Samsung Galaxy Camera with me to review it and to get to know other camera's - because that's also a side of my interest.

What is it?
The Samsung Galaxy camera is a device that concentrate on the smart side of shooting and has a lot of new social media additions. For example you can upload your pictures to instagram, facebook, email them and more when you have WIFI or you also can insert your phone simcard in it. Besides that you also can play games on it and I think the only thing you can't do with it is call somebody. Oh and I must not forget to tell that you can shoot great video's with it.

Details.
- weight: 300gr
- size: 70,8 x 128,7 x 19,1 mm
- intern memory: 4GB
- WIFI/3G
- Video in HD (1080p)
- optical zoom
- standby time: Max. 280 hrs
- Android 4.1™

My experiences
Instead of taking my phone out of my warm pockets I grabbed this camera to shoot the beautiful atmosphere of Paris. Actually I almost didn't used my phone to take pictures because I found the Galaxy Camera more versatile and the quality of the pictures was much better. You can check this and this picture so how the quality look like - note: I edited with photoshop. Further I found the quality of the video also really good. For me it this camera felt like a mix between my Iphone and my regular camera.

To buy
- has touchscreen
- it has WIFI/3G and apps like instagram to upload your pictures
- you can share your pictures directly on Dropbox or with email
- quality of the video is quite good
I think when you use a lot of social media apps and just want to have a great camera this camera is made for you

Not to buy
- It's quite big for a small camera
- I think there're camera's with a better quality of photo's (not smart camera's)
- It's quite expensive - around €499
I think when you're looking for a bit more proffesional and less smart orientated camera this one isn't made for you.

STYLE ON THE STREET

ph.private
Miroslava Duma is a well-known streetstyle-icon, former Harpers-Bazaar editor and  now freelancer and founder of Buro24/7. She's really petite and dares to play with fashion, just like you see above. She's wearing the Balenciaga sci-fi scuba sweaters like a mini dress combined with a classy crispy white collar. I really want to concentrate on the scuba part because it's still something you can love or hate. On which side are you? Shop the scuba/sci-fi trend below...

STYLE ON THE STREET

Anouk, founder of CofD, is a true fashionista and has a wardrobe to dream of. I was happy to see her again, earlier this year, in London for Fashion Week and I just had to capture her look. I really like the mix of her laidback sweater combined with the sparkeling skirt and killer boots. I think this look would also be perfect for Christmas because 1) you look freakin' hot 2) you can hide that tummy (of your Christmas dinner ofcourse) in that comfi sweater. Damn, she inspirered me again! Shop her look here below! :)

ANTWERP DIARIES II

ph.private
And this is part two of the Antwerp Diaries! Antwerp is known of the home of famous fashion designer like Margiela, Dries van Noten and Ann Deulemeester. My Antwerp citytrip was based on the culure and fashion elements of this city and I couldn't wait to explore this side of the city. On the second day we went for the culture side of the city with our personal guide: Sofie Korres of Toerisme Vlaanderen. This city chas so much to bring, like to great cathedral, small hidded alleys, the well-known shopping street the 'Meir', but also small boutigues and vintage shops. During the last few hours we went on a quick shopping spree where I found a really cool jeans on sale (soon on my blog). And I also must not forget the amazing restaurants like Mint, Brasserie Appelmans, Het Elfde Gebod and so much more.

Soon I'll share the must-go/eat/sees and I also made a cool video of my trip. So stay tuned!
